Recovery Hair loss or become bold after treatments of 2 years?
Hello dears,
I had done my treatments of chemotherapy (ACT) and mastectomy surgery 2 years now. My hair does not grow especially front top area and I noticed that it becomes less hair now and I can see my skin. My back area of the head looks ok. Does anyone have any issues and found any treatment? Please let me know what you use and shampoo etc. Thank you so much.

Cutie - I use a laser helmet (theradome but there are others out there), take daily biotin and a daily collagen shake to support my thin hair. I haven't seen tremendous regrowth, some, but more I am keeping what I still have. I think you should have a discussion with your MO to approve any supplement use but I hope some of these things will help you. My hair is thin due to my estrogen blockers, not chemo so you may respond differently.

this is probably not what you want to hear, but this happened with my neighbor and she just started wearing wigs most of the time. I didn’t even realize she wore wigs until she told me and then I realized her hair was much thinner in the morning when she got her garbage cans than it was in the afternoons when she was doing yard work. People might notice you’re wearing a wig at first, but most of them won’t care and will quickly forget because it doesn’t matter. Good luck.

Cutie--sorry about your hair loss and I hope you can find a solution. My aunt has alopecia and she wears a "topper"; kind of a piece of a wig that clips on top of her head. It is very natural looking and not as hot as a full wig. She also buys some kind of stuff that she sprinkles on the thin areas to cover the scalp when not wearing the topper; I'll have to ask what it is called.
I'm still bald from chemo (last one a week ago) and I'm hoping all my hair will come back!

I lost all my hair, everywhere after chemo. It did come back. The second time, just surgery and rads, then ibrance and letrozole. One of them has finished my hair. It’s very sparse. Most men have more than me. My DH did
I had a wig the first time. Way to hot and itchy to wear here. Now, I don’t bother with any type of cover, except in winter. I don’t care if people stare. Any comments I just say chemo. Shuts them up.
