Went for an annual Mamogram and 2nd mammogram, doctor suggested I go for a biopsy in the right breast, and was diagnosed with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ).

After speaking with my breast surgent he scheduled me for surgery two weeks after, than sent for an MRI.

Results came back with 2 more findings, another in the right breast and one in the left breast, so I now have to get two more biopsies and my surgery was postponed.

Radiology is suggesting right and left breast assessment: appears suspicious

I don't know if both fall under this: Bi Rads Category 4 with stereotactic biopsy testing advised

not really sure that this means but very worry.

    Hi yflores,

I am so sorry your surgery was postponed but once they get a clearer picture of what is going on they will probably get you right back on the schedule.

My local hospital found one spot of DCIS but when I went to another center for my surgical consult the doctor there ordered another diagnostic mammogram and found 3 more suspicious places. Had to have 3 more biopsies, 2 of which were positive. I tell you this to let you know it delayed things a bit for me, too. I definitely understand your anxiety and disappointment, but hang in there it really is better to get the full picture to develop a sound plan of treatment.

Sending out warm wishes and prayers that all will go well for you in the coming days. The waiting and additional tests are so hard. Once you get a plan it really does get easier and less nerve-racking! Try to stay busy and do some fun things during this stressful time.

As icky as this is, it's better to find everything now and get it over with.

thank you for sharing your experience with me.

I too am sorry to hear that 2 came back positive. so what is the positive diagnosis? are they both DCIS? or something else? and what is your next step?

You are right, it's just harder since I was not expecting more finding.

I hope it went well and it all stays DCIS. My BMX was 12 days ago and pathology showed all remained DCIS. I hope you will be blessed with the same.
