edited July 2021 in Not Diagnosed But Worried

Hello to all, Just here becuz i went to get a mamo and i had a call back for another one and an ultra sound. I have had previous Cancer diagnosed in 2008, Tripple Negative Aggressive stage 2B, Advised to do trial Drug, Bevizcumb was the trial drug, and got a lumpectomy with lymph nodes removed. That was a long struggle and the trial drug did damage to me so they stopped it and hit me hard with Taxol, This was in my right Breast. I did not get them removed, as Dr said he thought it was drastic for a woman. Now 12 yrs latter which is weird I had moved to another state and got a mamo there. Everything fine, but came back to the state I had cancer and took me a while to get Insurance so I missed a year. Now I get my mammo and I get a call back to take another one followed by an Ultra sound. My records fr previous never got to the Dr. Anyway, They showed me on film three lumps, I was shocked. Now Im terrified and its on the other breast. I dont feel anything I try but nothing. They did both and said they will mail me the reslts or here fr my Dr in a week and a half. Im like wow umm Cancer dont wait. I want to know now. Thats what AGGRESSIVE means. I dont have Insurance for my long time ago Dr. but shall I get some and go back to him or wait this out? Idk just need advice and called to see if i could get results and just get the run around. Covid I think is effecting the wait time too..

    Adoril,

I am not entirely sure what you’re asking but I wouldn’t worry at all about the wait time for results. Breast cancer, even if “aggressive “ is still somewhat slow growing. As you may remember from your previous diagnosis, there is a lot of waiting but it will not have a negative effect on your bc. As someone once said, breast cancer is urgent but not an emergency. Take care

PS: You might want to consider making your signature line public. Members will be able to see details regarding your previous diagnosis so you won’t have to keep repeating them.

Definitely waiting on a phone call or for results in the mail is fairly normal and not a reason to panic - even if there is an issue. If you do have to undergo a biopsy or something there will be a little more of a wait for that, then results, etc. This is all normal and not a reason to panic. Take some walks, watch funny videos, share time with family or friends (safely - COVID), etc. This will be on your mind though do what you can to pass the time doing relaxing or enjoyable things. Please keep us posted once you hear results... Sending support....
