Hi, friends!

I am freshly 25 years old with larger breast and recently found a dent the size of a small fingerprint on my right breast. I did see my doctor today but she only did a breast exam and didn’t seem too concerned at the moment considering she didn’t feel any lumps or anything. She recommended we give it two weeks to see if there are any other symptoms that show up and then we will move forward with other options. However, i’ve been suffering terrible health anxiety ever since covid came about and this is just one more thing i’m having to stress about. Of course, i looked to google for answers (bad idea because it always says cancer) & i’m really hoping that there could be other reasons for the dent so it could alleviate the anxiety i have between now and my next doctor visi

    Hi Bunny!

I'm sorry that you are feeling such anxiety over this, but it's completely understandable given that you don't know anything certain yet. There are plenty of other causes of that dent; it's not necessarily cancer. But now, while you're waiting on next steps with your doctor, it's a good time to learn about what to ask her and to ask for when you do go in for your next visit. This site has a great deal of information, not just about breast cancer itselt, but about how to prepare yourself and arm yourself with knowledge so that you can make good, timely, and informed decisions should you need to.

Hopefully this turns out to be nothing and you won't have to come back here, but if you do come back, we're here to help you through it all.

    Best of luck!

Thank you so much, Piper! I just had my ultrasound done and the tech and radiologist said they didn’t find anything concerning, but that he would make a full report to send back to my doctor. I’m somewhat relieved that everything came back normal, however i still wonder what could’ve caused the dent & if it is truly nothing, will it ever go away? I just don’t want to trick myself into thinking i need another one done because they didn’t find anything.
