I had my biopsy on 7/1 and got my results yesterday.

Left Breast- Invasive Mammary Carcinoma with mixed Ductal and Lobular features

Left Breast Axillary Lymph node - Metastatic Mammory Carcinoma

Right Breast - Invasive Mammary Carcinoma (Ductal)

ER +

PR +

HER-2 Negative

Has anyone had similar findings? Any idea what the treatment would be for this? Still waiting on the call from the Nurse Navigator to set up all my appointments.

I am unable to answer your questions km.... Just want to send support.... I hope you get additional information/answers from the nurse navigator and others on this site soon. Have you tried using the search box at the top right corner? You'll likely find some information there until you hear from others.

I’m sorry to hear about your dx. While I could take an educated guess regarding treatment, that would be irresponsible of me as I am not a doctor and I am not privy to all the details of your situation. This is a stressful time and my best advice is to work with the facts you know at the moment and try not to stress over things you don’t know or imagine things that might or might not happen. Take care

This is the most difficult stage in the process, waiting. You will most likely have an oncotype test done to decide if you need chemo therapy, or if you have more than I node pos, you may have chemo anyway. There are alot of decisions to be made, rest assured that your team will be following all proper procedures to ensure they do what's right for you. I'm out the other end since June 8th.All is good.

I cannot help as I am new to this cancer business, but wanted to send good thoughts and prayers your way.

It is overwhelming, try to do something to take your mind off things when you can. It’s hard, I know.

Kmkordcit sorry you find yourself joining us all here. This is the difficult time, gathering all the information needed to determine a treatment path. Your surgeons will explain options on surgical treatment, but your MO will determine treatment overall. You already know some bits of information that set treatment (hormone status, HER2 status, lymph node) but other information such as Oncotype/Mammaprint testing and imaging will impact decisions on potential chemotherapy. Be prepared to have to wait a bit for a final treatment plan as usually Oncotype testing is completed post surgical excision. So you will get information kind of in spurts for a bit. It isn't uncommon for treatment plans to change a bit, either. I remember well the anxiety and desire just to know what the heck I was going to have to do. The whole process felt like it took forever, but in reality it moved quickly. Bless you.

My daughter is expecting her 1st baby July 30th! Waiting for my pathology report. I am new to this cancer information!! Hope you find out information soon. FB has a site called "Stupid Dumb Breast Cancer" if you are looking for a FB site.

    Hi Sedens,

My daughter and her husband just had a baby on 6/11. I feel terrible that their special time is being marred by this. I was actually out to lunch with them and my new grandson when I got the cancer call. I had my surgical appointment on Friday and will now have all the tests prior to my MO appointment on 7/22.
