Complex cyst and scheduled biopsy

Hey guys.

As I'm awaiting my mom's biopsy results, it was time for my 6-month breast cysts ultrasound follow-up. I have fibrocystic breasts, with over 10 cysts in both breasts, 8 simple cysts and 2 complex. The last check-up was good, nothing grew too much. The last followup, yesterday knocked me down. One of the complex cysts grew 5mm in past 7 months. It's now measuring 2.6 mm and it's located directly behind the nipple. The doctor suggested a biopsy to rule out any cancer cells in the debris. I'm only 29. With everything going on, I broke in front of the doctor so I started crying. She told me she doesn't think it's cancer, but guidance mandates that complex cysts above 2.5 cm are drained and biopsied.

My biopsy is scheduled for next Tuesday. I haven't told anyone yet. With everything going on right now, it would be too much stress for my family. I know most cysts check ok, but I feel very hopeless. Something keeps on telling me things are not ok, and that I have to visit a doctor.

Last year at this time I felt a horrible pain radiating in my chest, shoulders, and armpits. Doctors thought I was crazy and too anxious so it took me a lot to get an ultrasound. After the ultrasound, I got 2 follow-ups. I was even seen by a reputable oncologist who convinced me that I don't have cancer and that there is no need for biopsy. Fast forward 12 months, they are telling me it's not cancer but that they have to check the debris.

I'm sad, worried, and disappointed. Not to mention again that my mom is waiting for her biopsy results.

I just wanted to share my story with anyone who has complex cysts in the breast. Ask for a biopsy. Don't wait.

Sending everyone a lot of love and hugs. <3

Thank you, wonderful people. Hopefully, this nightmare ends soon. I try to be positive, but my body feels like something isn't right. I hope I'm wrong.

    Hey everyone.

Hope I have some good news.

My mom got her biopsy results - radial scar. Her doctor believes it's benign, but she will have to have surgery to remove the lesion.

As too for myself - I saw an oncologist today and the doctor doesn't want to do a biopsy because according to her, I'm a clear case of severe fibrocystic breasts and my complex cysts don't contain hard lesions and are a cluster of multiple cysts. Follow up in December. She even said my armpit pain and enlarged lymph nodes are due to it. I hope she isn't wrong, considering she is a very reputable oncologist.

Sending everyone lots of love and prayers.

Fantastic heklica!!! Even though you're not totally comfortable with the news about your cysts take solace in the fact they are doing closer monitoring....
