Radiation before or after expanders for reconstruction

Who has had radiation AFTER expanders were put in for reconstruction? Or even after reconstruction???

I did. I had BMX with immediate expander placement. Had chemo and then radiation with the expanders in. Radiation ended Sept 2017 and had exchange to implants January 2018. I have slight capsular contraction on the right side which was the radiated side.

I had radiation after my expanders were put in and filled to the size I wanted. My PS explained can’t increase your size after radiation. Then I waited about 6 months after radiation to replace expanders.

I had radiation after permanent implants were put in. Like many, have some capsular contraction on the radiated side
