BI RADS 5 - Waiting for biopsy results
My biopsy was today and it went incredibly smooth, and completely pain free. Thank you to everyone who helped me to calm down and get through it. No doubt, it was scary to wait two weeks to get it done. My mass is a BI RADS 5 and the radiologist who performed the biopsy said it looks like ductal carcinoma and he is certain that it is malignant. I saw the image on the screen for the first time, which was a bit helpful for me. We will know the final details when the pathology results come in. The VERY good news is that it is very small and early, we just have to hope it hasn't spread so we can get it out and move on. So now it's time to wait again.

You must be so relieved that you have the biopsy done. Best wishes for early, small and easy treatment

Yes, I am so relieved and I'm staying optimistic. I think knowing as much information as possible along the way during this journey is helpful to me. This way, I won't be side-swiped with "You have cancer". I pretty much know that's the likely result. Thank you for the well wishes.

Hello!
My mom had her biopsy last week too. Her MRI was BI-Rads 5 too. Doctors think it's a very small cancer and a very early stage as well. I wish you everything the best and I hope that doctors overlooked it, so I'm praying for you that it's benign as well! Keep us updated.
Sending you a lot of love from Cali.

Texasmamabear glad the procedure is behind you. Sending prayers for an unanticipated benign result. If not, then for a finding of non invasive activity. I too think it helps when the doctors prepare you with the experience they have so you can process in little bits and pieces. My best to you.

I know you are very glad to have the biopsy behind you. I was encouraged to read the biopsy procedure went smoothly and was pain free!! I am scheduled for a biopsy in 6 days and I have been worried about the pain level.
Sending prayers your way for benign results. Sounds like you’re going into this with a positive attitude, and that is so important!

Texasmamabear---Glad your procedure went well! I'm having my biopsy on 7/1/21 and just want to get it over with and have the next steps!

Hi Chirodani,
I hope others with more experience than me will jump in. I am awaiting my biopsy results and am new to all of this.
Just want to say I said a prayer for you and I'm sending you all my good wishes.
I wonder if you should put your post on as a “new" topic with its own thread? Perhaps more people would see it that way?

Thank you! I think I will do that, although I'm not sure how! hahaha!
Saying a prayer for you also and sending lots of love and light!!
