I just received the results of my annual mammogram and diagnostic ultrasound. I had (L)IDC in 2012 with lumpectomy and radiation, (R) ILC in 2016 with unilateral mastectomy. I was up to my final annual diagnostic mammo and dignostic US. The result shows ? tumour in L breast near scar. I have to have an ultrasound guided biopsy to confirm. Can't quite believe it! Tumour size is 9mmX 9mm and shows up on both mammo and ultrasound. I am in Australia.

BTW this site was so helpful during my first and second incidences of BC. As I feel I cant really talk to anyone until I know result of Bx in a week's time it is good to be able to post here.

HI Gerrib- it is just as likely to be a benign result of your lx and radiation right? I know how you feel though. I just went through a scare that would have been my 3rd occurrence in 4 years. I was frantic from the callback until biopsy results. It was benign—fat necrosis. I was able to ask the radiologist for clarification of what they were seeing during my ultrasound biopsy and he put my mind more at ease that day. Hoping for the best outcome for you.

Thanks Jetcat and mods for your replies. I'm feeling less concerned now. Guided Bx next Thursday.
