Breast Surgeon Recommendation Bay Area CA

Hi all

I am looking for recommendation for breast surgeon for a likely double mastectomy. Right now only the left breast has DCIS and IDC. The decision is pending results of genetic testing.

I am with PAMF and the current surgeon is Dr. Runi Chattopadhyay. Any one has any experience with her??

I have spoken to Dr Cheryl Ewing at UCSF. She talked about doing a sentinel node surgery. My lymph nodes are not impacted. Is the sentinel node surgery still needed in this case? Or is this an aggressive approach??

I am scheduled to speak with Dr Grissom at CPMC in July ( after the third round of by infusion)

I am looking for a recommendation at Stanford cause it is just closer to home Has anyone been to Stanford? Are the surgeons only breast surgeons or they general surgeons

Nima is Fabulous! She was my surgeon and I loved her. I had a lumpectomy 12 years ago. Can't recommend her enough.
