I don't know if I am posting this in the correct area or not, so please forgive me if so. In April of 2020 I had right mastectomy for IDC. I have dense breast tissue and have been having mammograms for the past ten years or so. Always clear mammograms. I could feel something hard in my right breast when lying on my stomach in bed, but dismissed it due to clear mammograms.

Long story short, in March I was diagnosed with IDC. Here is final pathology report:

Invasive ductal carcinoma.

Grade:

--Intermediate (3/2/1).

Size (largest focus):

--10 mm.

Focality:

--Multifocal (approximately 25 foci)

DCIS:

--Present (extensive (EIC); cribriform, intermediate nuclear grade, with necrosis and calcifications).

--Span: 90 mm.

Lymphatic invasion:

--Present.

Margins:

--Invasive tumor: Negative (2 mm or > from all margins).

--DCIS: Negative ( 2 mm or > from all margins).

Special studies: Done on prior biopsy (SP20-9143):

--ER/PR: Positive.

--Her2 by IHC: 1+ (non-amplified)

Additional findings:

--Fibrocystic changes.

--Pseudo-angiomatous hyperplasia (PASH).

Did chemo/radiation.

About a month ago, I was sitting down separating laundry and bent over to pick up some clothes. When my remaining breast contacted my leg, I felt something I have never felt in this breast. It felt hard, like I had felt in the other breast prior to diagnosis. I tried to locate area on BSE and also by leaning over again, could not locate it. I had just had the first vaccine a week prior, on that side and thought maybe it was due to that. I contacted Oncologist and told her. She recommended diagnostic mammogram. Went in for mammogram, explained everything, had mammogram and they found calcifications, Radiologist said, it was good that I can no longer feel hard spot. I explained to her, that I could not locate it, immediately after feeling it first time, she had no response. Anyway, radiologist recommended biopsy for calcifications. Had biopsy, it was negative, THANK GOD!!

My concern is, given the fact that I did feel something new and hard and have dense breast tissue and given my history, should I be concerned about this hard area I felt? Has anyone had a similar experience?

I appreciate any and all input. sorry for the long post.

Thank you.
