34, Waiting on biopsy results
Hi, I posted on the not diagnosed yet forum that I had a suspicious lymph node that is 2.9 cm that needed to be biopsied, Just had it done, wasn't bad at all and didn't feel hardly a thing. Only issue was my blood pressure dropped way low but went back to normal quickly. I run low bp anyways so sure that’s why.Now it's just the wait. The nurse who was part of it told me her friend died from cancer in her 30's and I'm in my 30's and my mom got cancer at the age I am nowso yeah hearing that didn't help as I'm already paranoid due to my mom.
anyways here I am, should hopefully I know.by end of week. Thanks everyone who encouraged me to get the biopsy done on my other thread as I was seriously considering not doing it.

Wow, talk abut a not tactful nurse! Eek.
Well I had a high school classmate who died in a freak car accident in her late teens. That is about as relevant to your situation as your nurse's friend's cancer in her 30s.
I'm so proud of you for following up with the biopsy. Facing one's fears - that is HUGE. I'm glad it was easy physically.
Honestly, that is such a bizarre thing to tell someone who just got a biopsy that I would be tempted to follow up about it with a letter to the office. Maybe if that death was recent I'd give her the benefit of the doubt that she's still reeling from grief, but still, it's impacting her judgment and hurting patients and that is no good. That is just so off to me.
Anyway, waiting SUCKS. I hope that your biopsy will be clear and that will be the end of this merry go round ride for you. But if it's not, just remember that no one else's story is your destiny, no way to know what your story will be but first hand and no way out but through, BUT you don't have to do it alone.

well she was kind of annoyed I brought my husband. She was like ‘ they let you bring him in” and I said yes I did not sneak him in and she said “ well no relatives are allowed” and I was like ok no one told me that and said it was fine you want me to tell him to leave and she was like “ well he is here now” so we kinda got off on wrong foot to start. I was very nervous already and wanted him there , no one else was in wait room area the entire time and he is fully vaccinated but I would had him wait in car if I knew he wasn’t allowed but he was told he could come with me
Was just added stress I didn’t need.

In pre-Covid times, I could have my spouse in the waiting area, but not where any tests or procedures were done. He could come into doctor's offices while they explained things, though. I'd report that nurse; what a stupidly tactless and unprofessional thing to say!
Do some fun things while you wait for results.

Glad you followed through with the biopsy Zoey! Please let us know once you hear about results....

thanks everyone for the replies. Waiting really sucks. I have a BIRad score of 4 which does concern me and of course is why I'm in this situation.I'm just annoyed to be honest. I lost my job due to pandemic, living in lockdown and I was finally feeling like I could live again, work again got vaccinated but now got hit with this BS.

Zoey86, I just had my needle biopsy today and am waiting now. UGH!!!! Same boat.

I'm annoyed that the nurse said that to you. She shouldn't be helping with breast biopsies if she can't keep her mouth shut.
BTW many young women do beat breast cancer. There are lots of groups for us younger gals. I hope you don't have to join us though! No offense but we don't want new members!
Many, many biopsies come back as benign. I'm sending you lots of positive thoughts. Waiting sucks!
