Are there any women in or near the Rochester, NY area?

Hi, I recently received another diagnosis of IDC w/ necrosis and micro calcifications. I've gone through several mammograms, a breast ultrasound, a needle core biopsy, and a breast MRI. After the results of the MRI, my surgeon has scheduled 3 CT scans w/ contrast, a full body bone scan w/ contrast and another needle core biopsy. I was supposed to be scheduled for surgery this month but now my surgeon wants to review the results from these additional tests and then decide on a surgery date.

I was first diagnosed w/ IDC Stage 1A, nuclear grade 2, ER+/PR- HER2-. I had a partial mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy on 4/3/2013. I also had 33 radiation treatments at Pluta Cancer Center.

Is a second reoccurrence of the same diagnosis normal? It's been 8 years since my first diagnosis and I didn't think I would have to go through this again. Hoping to hear from someone in the same situation I find myself in. I'm overwhelmed and not sleeping well worrying about everything I've been forced to face again. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Linda
