Confused ( mammogram then biopsy not ultrasound)

This is my mom account. She had breast cancer and now she is doing well .

I am 42 years old female.
I recently had mammogram. I have dense breast tussesand now the Dr want me to do biopsy not ultrasound.

Is this normal?

Welcome! Glad your mom is doing well. Sorry you now find yourself here for you.... I've had three biopsies and never had an ultrasound. Some people do get ultrasounds tho.... I imagine what they saw on mammo was clear enough for them to want the biopsy.... Please let us know when you get a date and how the biopsy goes.

Three biopsy? I am really scare for the one .

Janet, do you have the mammogram report? What does it say, and what is the BI-RADs rating? Was it a screening mammogram or diagnostic mammogram?

I've had lots of biopsies (7, and that doesn't include aspirations) and I think I've always had an ultrasound and/or a diagnostic mammogram after the screening mammogram.

I just want to do biopsy after 6 month.

I recently had very bad accident and have fractures in my transverse processes L2 L3 and l4 and also in my spine.

Also I am very scared of biopsy. I was with my mom during her cancer treatment.

I had to see therapist to have normal life ( I had fear that her cancer could come back )

I would be appreciate if you could guide about my result .
