Hi, ladies. On Friday I had my ovaries out to lessen the chance of estrogen causing my breast cancer to reoccur. I received my cytology results today from a pelvic wash during the surgery. Although it came back negative for “malignant” cells, it listed Reactive mesothelial cells as being present! I’m so scared, I’ve read this can indicate cancer elsewhere....anyone else ever experience this kind of report with there not being cancer elsewhere?

    Hi, I often have mesothelial cells found during a pap smear. often they go away on their own. I believe a couple years ago I had to have a laser procedure. I hope all is well with you and your doctor has by now gave their input.
