Discordant Results, No Pain COVID Vac 4/16 Pain underarm/breast

Core Needle Biopsy was done kn March 29, 2021 just a month ago. I was nervous but, healing okay. A few days later I received a call from the breast surgeon's office and the pathology stated benign results. (Fat necrosis) I had two fibroifadenomas removed in October 2020. Then on 4/14/21 I got a call stating that the radiologist added an addendum to the report and the results are discordant.

So, I had a COVID Vaccine (first shot) on 4/16/21 and my left arm sane side as biopsy was mildly sore for two days. Then by about a week later my underarm and breast on that side have been painful. Not so much to touch just when moving around. I would say the pain came on not so quickly but increased quickly.
Any thoughts or advice would be so welcomed.

My original appointment to discuss and arrange removal of the area in question will be May 5, 2021...Wow. This seemingly started with having a couple of fibriodadenomas removed.

The COVID vaccine has caused lymph node swelling, etc. Humblepeace. Could that be what's happening? I'd err on that for now. They are telling women not to get there annual mammo until about a month after shots because of that.... I've also heard of some delayed reaction from shot reactions. I hope this is what's happening for you....

    Thanks LivinLife,

I hope this is a reaction from the first shot. I really did not have too much pain after the biopsy a month ago. I chalked it up to the radiologist giving me a few extra shots for numbing the area. This pain did begin a few days after the vaccine. I see the breast surgeon on Wednesday to discuss the original issue of the discordant results. I’m sure she will hear me out and do an in office US

I also began Arimidex again in the last 8 days after quitting Letrozole. That one did not do my body well. Unreal anxiety, tingling all over my body and face...just to name a few.

I had zero pain from a bilateral mastectomy but my first covid shot turned my world upside down. My arm hurt for nearly two weeks. I had itching near the injection site and then a small rash (they are calling it "covid arm") and the pain would come and go. My armpit swelled well past a week after the first shot. I was terrified to get the second shot. Did get that last Saturday and had it in m thigh. My leg was pretty sore for 3 days, but NOTHING like my arm with the first jab. I am still feeling off and flu-like, starting first day of week two tomorrow. I feel like a wet noodle after any mild exertion. Still better than being intubated.

    Hello All,

May 5 has finally arrived and it’s bittersweet. I’m in the waiting room to see the breast surgeon about the discordant results from 3 weeks ago. Since the biopsy I have began to have both breast and underarm discomfort. I have also had my first Pfizer vaccine almost 3 weeks ago. I’m not sure if there is any relationship to vaccine and soreness or if the soreness is from biopsy (but it didn’t start right away).

I’m working on keeping the faith while I wait to be seen. Thanks for letting me release a little anxiety.

I just went through a mammogram call back because of my covid19 Pfizer vaccine. I had to have a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound for enlarged lymph node on the side I had my vaccine. After a stressful 2 week wait my lymph nodes looked good but there were 2 instead of 1 large one. They were due to my shot. All the best to you.
