This is an update (mods please merge with my previous post if needed).

Just so you all know I’m not posting this in order to get medical advice and I will be calling the nurse to detail my symptoms tomorrow. I just wanted to know if anyone has had similar findings and/or symptoms and what the result turned out to be... just so I have an idea of what I might expect when going in for an office visit.

I was told these results the same day of the ultrasound, but since I marked all my symptoms on the original intake paperwork from weeks before the ultrasound (and I explained my symptoms to the ultrasound tech), I assumed the radiologist doc received the information and based his recommendations on no or little clinical findings. My PCP doc’s nurse told me there was nothing of concern on the report. Now I’m second guessing since my symptoms have increased (various lumps around my body). I’ve just felt my issues were rheumatology related or something not involving the breast since all doctors the last two years have dismissed my concerns.

My symptoms:

-extreme fatigue (but I push through daily),

-low immunoglobulins (IgA) (so lots of colds),

-swelling and lumps over nearly my entire rib cage and immediate care doc X-ray showed a “structure between my lowest right rib and the kidney, which is probably calcification of the costachondronal ...something or other.”

-swollen joints,

-itchy cough,

-swelling on, below and above my right collarbone and neck feels swollen (no doc has shown concern to this, but I know I was never swollen like this until a couple months ago.)

-slight rash (not on breast)

-radiating pain up and down leg, hip, ankle, thigh and back, which was in excruciating pain after a half mile walk. Orthopedic doc attributed it to weakened thigh muscles and hip (sending me to PT).

-just noticed my right breast appears a tiny bit bigger than my left.

Excerpts from the report:

In the right breast at 8:00 position, 5 inches from the nipple a small cluster of cysts versus a complex cystic lesion lesion measures 0.5 x 0.3 x 0.2 cm. In the right breast at the 9:00 position, 7 cm from the nipple, a circumscribed hypoechoic avascular structure, wider than tall, measures 0.5 x 0.4 x 0.2 cm. The worries of palpable concern in the bilateral upper breasts is without worrisome mass demonstrated, and may correspond to adjacent ribs.

Recommendation: 6 month follow up.

“....in the setting of a negative, benign or probably benign mammography ultrasound evaluation... the decision regarding further workplace or management of palpable abnormality should be based on clinical findings, or else recommend continuing screening in one year.”

Thanks for any comments and sorry this is so lengthy!
