Gemcitabine and Carboplatin for metastatic cancer in liver and lungs

Can I expect a CT scan to check progress or is there another way to check?

Thank you

    Hi Tc1632,

We're sorry to hear what you are going through. This is a very good question to ask your doctor as part of the treatment course, which scans they will be using, and at what frequency - e.g. CT or PET (Positron-Emission Tomography), liver scans, etc. We're all here for you, so please let us know what you find out.

    Warmly,

    The Mods

    Hi again Tc1632,

Just checking in -- were you able to get any answers from your doctor? Please let us know!

Hi, old timer here with Mets. I usually get scans every 4-6 months. Tumor marks and scans are the best way to tell if the chemo is working.
