Hi Taham2, I had DCIS grade 3. I did 33 TX then 5 boost TX. That was followed by 5 years of tamoxifen. Wouldn't have done it any other way.

    Taham,

How large was your area of DCIS and how wide were your surgical margins? That could make a difference in how strongly the boost is recommended.

    Hi ladies!

I am new and wasn't sure how to start a new thread, so I hope it's okay that I jump in here. I have just been dx from mri guided biopsies as having stage 0 DCIS high grade. grade 3. And am opting for lumpectomy even though the area is kind of big.

I am waiting to be scheduled for surgery, but I first have to meet with the anesthesiologist to discuss regional anesthesia. I am opting for regional

because of the research and my breast surgeon agrees and is very awesome.

My boyfriend of two years left me 2 days before my dx. I feel alone and really need support. My family (siblings) are barely there for me. Thankfully, I have a number of friends who are there for me.

Just feel overwhelmed and need to be around others who understand. I am sorry not to reply to the specifics in this thread.

I wish all of you hear the very very best. All of my love, prayers, and blessings to you.

I'd appreciate any messages or how to start a new thread. Feeling scared and in shock. :(
