I’m on TC+ Herceptine for weakly positive HER2 and ER neg

From 3 rd round on having bilateral thigh Pain and getting worse and can not walk even in the

House unless I take Tylenol.

I’m scheduled for my 6th and last in 4 days, April 12 th.

My clinic nurse thinks the pain is from my Femur bones and it is due to Udenyca.

I have been taking Claritin daily.

Any one has similar pain.? Any suggestions

Warrior, I did, I had the pain from the first thru the last chemo. The Neulasta pain lasted for two months after last chemo. That pain is is aweful. My mo said it's because the Neulasta is making the long bones produce more white blood cells.

I had bilateral thigh pain while I was on TCH and received steroids with every cycle.

After 3rd cycle I started feeling pain both thighs, could not tell weather bone pain or muscle pain. Every time I saw my MO I complained and I was told it is due to chemo. 1 to 2 months after finishing chemo, my pain got so bad I could not walk at night time or When Iwoke up in the morning.

After I insisted on MRI to my pcp final diagnosis made after suffering for 5 months.

I have atypical stress fractures of both thigh bones ( Femur) due to osteoporosis medication Boniva, ( I was on it for 2 yrs), probably aggravated by chemo and steroids. I have never suffered so much pain in my life.

Now I’m doing limited weight bearing and having surgery in few days to place rods in my both Femurs.

It is bummer that my pcp and MO did not know that I could have these fractures from Boniva.

I wanted to pass this information, any one that is on Bisphsphonates for osteoporosis, please watch out for thigh pain
