Hello friends, thank you for this resource. I've searched and read all the threads related to stomach and pelvic pains related to Tamoxifen, but decided to post this since none of them reference the pain only happening during a period.

Since starting Tamoxifen in September, periods have been almost non-existent, but a tremendous pressure, stomach pain takes place for 3-4 days each month during that time. There is a lot of pressure and urinating is uncomfortable. Bowel movements are normal, despite feeling as if they would not be. The pain is localized where the scar from c-section is. It feels like post c-section surgery, that the insides are cut. Cramps are there, but a different type pain. There is a history of fibroids, and I understand the effect Tamoxifen has on them, but why would it only be during menstruation?

Thank you kindly for any input 🙏🏻

Hi Shad, Did you have your baseline transvaginal ultrasound done? If you are not really having a period maybe it has to do with your thickened lining and your body trying to shed it? I would ask your Gyn. If you check with your MO they usually aren't concerned unless you have bleeding.

Ultrasound completed two weeks ago, showed new growths on ovaries not there in November. They then did a CA 125 test to check for ovarian cancer, it was a 42 and 0-35 is normal. We scheduled an MRI after that finding. Man, those few days had us right back to her cancer treatment. Really sucked mentally. MRI came back ok, no concerning masses.

They found endometriosis which has the exact characteristic causing her pain. Next steps are unclear, possible removal of ovaries/uterus, not sure.

Shad, So glad it is not ovarian cancer. My daughter has endometriosis and it is complicated depending on where it is. Thinking of you both and sending best wishes.
