Triple Negative Recurrence Medication Question

Options

Hi everyone! Almost four years after my original diagnosis, I have been officially diagnosed with a local recurrence. At this time, my oncologist is recommending xeloda for 8 rounds (two weeks on, one week off). I received AC, Taxol, Carboplatin the first time I was diagnosed along with 30 rounds of radiation. I’ve had a double mastectomy with DIEP reconstruction previously, and I’ve already had surgery to remove the recurrence along with margins. My question is if anyone with triple negative recurrence had similar treatment or if there was a different recommendation. I know I’m PDL-1 positive

I am sorry you are facing this again. It never hurts to get a second opinion since it's not something the docs see as often. If you do, I'd ask why they are recommending the treatment regimen... and not what they recommend. That being said, I have a local friend who is not on here, but did have a local recurrence with triple negative, and I believe that's what she was treated with.
