I am not sure if I am doing this correctly.

I have recently been diagnosed with bone mets one in my hip one on my ribs and one on my spine. I have been put on ribociclib and letrozole and an infusion of a bone strengthener. I was too scared to ask the oncologist how long I might live although she did say it can be controlled for years.

So does anyone have any idea of the answer?

    Thanks for the help

    sunnídays,

There is no answer to your question. Some people live a long time others don’t. There are a multitude of factors involved in each individual’s situation which can have an effect on survival time. That being said, there is also no way to predict who the long term survivors may be, as again, individual factors and progression to other areas are influencing factors.

Please don’t give yourself and expiration date or ask your doctor. Her answer to you was perfect. I have lived for almost 10 years with bone mets and I have a fairly normal life. You just never know. Take care
