Options

For those of us who have lost our hair, what are your care tips? I am finding that I get occasional acne on my head. Ideas?

I'd suggest you go to one of the current or recent past chemo threads. People there have the latest info because they're in the middle of dealing with it. Oops I see you're in the January chemo thread. That's where I'd post this question

I've been bald for just under 12 months now. I wash my scalp with the same product I wash my face (Paula's Choice sensitive wash). I do rub my head a bit more aggressively with a towel to exfoliate. I think if you're wearing caps/wigs/hats a lot, you can get dead skin building up leading to outbreaks. I'd treat it on my head same as face - Paula's choice BHA exfoliant & a bit of benzoyl peroxide. hth!

I just used shampoo and rinsed as normal, but then on days I didn't shampoo, I used a facial wipe with some witch hazel in it (Dickinson's). That felt really good! I think just a routine wipe of the area suffices.

Be sure to wear a hat or covering. Don’t want to get sunburned.

When I went commando, I used my regular shampoo in the shower because I like the smell. There were some sparse sprigs that I occasionally shaved for a clean look. Sometimes I used a little make-up primer on my dome, just to cut down the glare.
