Hi there, I will be having a core needle biopsy on March 10 and am really scared of needles and if it is going to be painful. Just wondering if anyone can share their experiences with me as I am literally have anxiety attacks over this.

    You'll be fine. Ultrasound core needle biopsies are easy as can be. Tell them that you are afraid of needles and I'm sure they'll find a way to keep you distracted.

    I am a HUGE needle afraid myself. They allowed my spouse to be in the room and kicked off my shoes and since I was in a gown on the table anyway he was on the foot of the table and could see on the screen even the images. I did not look of course because I hate that. He talked to me and helped distract me and rubbed my feet to keep me from fainting on them. It did work.

    Do not know if you can have a support person with you or not but worth asking since it helped me get through it. Easier to converse with other things with someone you know that way.
