hi there.

After being diagnosed with extensive bone mets Ive been stable for almost 8 years on herceptin and perjeta.

Ive just had a six month bone scan that says " two osteoblastic rib lesions are suspicious for metastases".

I had reconstruction in Feb 2020 with various drains etc around that area. Is there any way this could be linked to the op and benign even though it was almost a year ago?

I dont see my oncologist until Wed and I am freaking out.

I just need to vent with people who understand. Thanks ladies

After nearly 4 years stable on H&P, my original hip bone met woke up again. I remain on Herceptin because it’s worked so well so far and had radiation to the hip bone. 5 months later the met is completely healed and I’m doing well. I get being worried but try to take some comfort in the m as many options for us HER2 patients.

Congrats on 8 years and many more.

Thanks so much for your reply. Im glad to hear you are doing well and didn't even need to change treatments.

After so long stable it's like a sledgehammer.

Dita, just to clarify, I added Xeloda and Tukysa to the Herceptin at my MO’s recommendation, however, this was due to the combo’s favorable results on brain mets, not because of progression in the body. But 8 years on your first line is excellent, I’m sure whatever is next will turn things around 🙂

So my doctor reckons it's old scarring and nothing to worry about. Beyond relieved.

I'll leave this post live in case anyone has the same issue. Thanks for the support illimae. I remember you from the boards way back. Glad to see you here.
