Roller Coaster
I am sure there have to be other woman out there that have been in the same boat as myself. Let me first start off by saying I have never been diagnosed with breast cancer and I feel like I shouldn't be complaining but...I had my first breast lump at 25 which was surgically removed. I am now 52 and over the years its been 2 surgical biopsies, 3 cyst aspirations a core needle biopsy and I now have a biopsy scheduled for Thursday. Everytime I say I am not going to worry and of course everytime I do! This time I had myself convinced it was just a cyst and when I got called back for the ultrasound I was like no big deal. So yes there are a couple large cysts there but a mass as well. UGH!
I just needed to vent ...I know you all understand the frustration. Thanks for listening!!!

Lots of us have had similar experiences. I've had 7 breast biopsies (3 surgical/excisional, 2 ultrasound guided core needle, 2 ultrasound guided stereotactic). The first, a surgical biopsy, was when I was 16. As for cyst aspirations... I've had so many that I stopped counting.
Some of us just have busy breasts. Having a lot of experience with biopsies doesn't seem to make it any easier to go through the process again. It's always nerve-racking.
Which type of biopsy are you having on Thursday? And do you have a copy of the imaging report?
Good luck with the biopsy! And yes, in addition to all my benign biopsies and aspirations, I have had breast cancer. But it doesn't mean that you will. Hoping your results are benign!

Beesie,
Thank you so much for responding! Thursday's biopsy is an ultra-sounds guided, so I think that is not so intense. US report states: In the 1:00 position at the areolar margin, there is a circumscribed hypoechoic solid mass with a parallel orientation. It measures 1.3 x 0.6 x 1.1 cm - this is the one to be biopsied.
Couple nice csysts which are of no concern and a "likely small intramammary lymph node" which they will watch.
I am just fed up worrying about it...I am glad you reminend me other woman go through the same all the time and it is not the worst thing
Thank you for reaching out!
