Double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction

i was diagnosed with IDC stage II ER+ PE+ HERS2-

I’ve decided a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction expanders

And so the drama begins...

my family is in between. Most want me to do a lumpectomy (I am a candidate) then one wante me to do radical double mastectomy

So it leaving me so confused and conflicted.

My thought is that what your family thinks is completely and totally irrelevant. It's your body, and you have to live with your decision for the rest of your life. This means you do what you feel is right for you.

Before you've made your decision, family members can be helpful in sorting through the pros and cons of each of the choices, but once you've made your decision, their role is to support you in what you've decided.

If your decision is made, move forward with it. Tell your family that the decision is made and is not up for discussion and that you would appreciate their support.
