Biopsy site still bruising red days later

Hi there,

I just had my first biopsies on Friday and in one part of my breast I apparently keep getting new bloodflow added to my bruise daily. It tend to happen when I take my sports bra off. My upper biopsy site is turning yellowish and appears normal, but I am concerned about this one still looking quite pink/red under the skin. Anyone know if this is normal or something to get checked out? It has been 4 days since biopsy. Thanks!

I was bruised for weeks after my biopsies, and it followed gravity. The bruising seeped to the bottom of my breast and persisted there for quite some time.

You can still put an ice/cold pack on it if you think it gets worse

Thanks for the suggestion. This is at the lower curve of my breast so gravity makes sense.

I have more biopsies on my other breast tomorrow morning so can have them check on it then too.

A tip I learned is to put 'light day panty liners' in my bra. They stick to the inside of the bra so you don't have to use any tape/bandages to catch the seeping.

I found nursing pads that also had the taped backing - these worked very well too - that was for my BMX though....

We were not talking about seeping externally. We were talking about the interior bruising following gravity and the interior bleeding “seeping” down through the breast tissue/under the skin
