Protandim with Chemo

Good Morning Everybody!

I had an operation on Monday where they removed 2 lymph nodes and they placed a clip in my right breast to monitor my tumor. I started chemo the following day. All the staff have been amazing but I keep forgetting to ask questions.

For nearly 2 years I have been taking protandim which stops me from being tired and helps me not forget things. I did ask the consultant If i could carry on taking this and he said yes. But when I google it says it can prevent the chemo working correctly. Have any of you had any experience of taking protandim with chemo?

BIbi - it's important to communicate directly with your MO soon as possible. Google doesn't know everything but you sure don't want to be taking something to negate the chemo.

He said it was fine but I acually stopped taking it last wednesday and started chemo following tuesday. I haven't started it up again as I want the chemo to work.
