Are pleomorphic calcifications the same as microcalcifications?

I finally received a copy of my report (I'm waiting for a biopsy next Thursday) and I think it doesn't look bad at all, but what do I know? I just turned 40, went for my first mammogram and was referred for a biopsy due to calcifications on my left breast. I've been so confident, but for the first time, felt a little sick when I saw the report today (not sure why). It says Bi Rad 4, and I don't see any of the usual terms I've seen in other people's reports. I'm not assuming that means is all good, but can't help to compare. I have one question and hopefully someone has some input on it. Report says indeterminate calcifications identified (radiologist mentioned in person that she didn't like the way they are group together), 6-8 cm from nipple at 12 and 2 and towards the end it says they appear pleomorphic. Doesn't say fine. Is this the same as microcalcifications or should I assume that they are bigger in size? Not sure if my question makes sense or even makes a difference, but was curious. Other than that I thought it was a clear, straight forward report. I'm still waiting for my Ob-gyn to call to discuss. Thank you and I wish everyone the best in their journey!

I copied and pasted this post into your othe thread and responded to it there. It is helpful to keep all your questions in a single thread, and a new post “bumps” the thread to the top of active topics again.
