Yikes Tuc! (on not being able to find your thread).. It probably got buried in subsequent threads since the last post to your thread.... I wonder if you put your name or heading in the search box? I'm not tech savvy so hopefully someone else will come along and help.... Regardless, I'm glad you checked back in about the update on MRI scheduling... I appreciate you already saying you will update us Best!!!
-
It's definitely better to stick to one thread, keeping all the information about your situation together in one place.
As LivinLife suggested, put your name into the Search function and all your previous posts will come up. Then you can go back to your previous thread to add this info about the MRI.

Hello Ladies ☺️,
Had bilateral MRI today at 6:15 PM. with and without contrast. It was done at the same medical complex-- but different building.Tech said my results would be ready probably tomorrow but of course my primary would have to follow up with me about results.
So maybe I will be hearing something soon.
THANKS 😊.
Tuc.

Thanks for letting us know Tuc! Hopefully you hear from you Primary Care soon though likely there will be a 2-3 business day delay due to the holiday and weekend. Hopefully your primary care isn't off until the New Year? Keep in mind you have a legal right to your records if you're in the U.S. - I'm not sure how other countries operate... So if worse comes to worse you can contact Medical Records to see about the different ways you can access these sooner than later if need be. I've gone the route recently with COVID of faxing them a signed release (from work) and on-line, depending. then they've either e-mail'd me the report via their secure e-mail system or actually mailed it to me. The former comes in 1-2 days, the latter 2-3 days. Some of the places I go will not load these things into my portal until well after a doc has talked to me though I'm able to access these in those other ways... Just so you know you have choices...

Thanks Livinlife,Yes, I am waiting to get results. "No news is good news"--- Right?😊.
Before I had the MRI-- my primary tentatively scheduled to meet me in March. So, I figure I may not get results til then( they're probably benign anyway). However if there is something up-- I hope to hear soon.
Thanks,
Tuc.
-
Oh Tuc.... I would not wait until March - not even if it's benign! That is too much of a head trip for sure. I would hope you would receive something in the mail if it is benign and a phone call if it is not. Honestly - I have a lot of medical issues and what I learned is no news is not necessarily good news though does mean even if serious it's not imminently dangerous... lol lol though I'm also serious unfortunately! That's another story though... Again if you don't hear anything in the next few days then you know you have options.... thanks for checking back in....
-
Thanks again Livinlife 😊,
I think I will get something in mail-- if nothing concerning or phone call if something serious-- like you said. So sorry that you have health issues too. Hopefully we both get them resolved in timely manner. I would like to close this chapter and move on til I get answers-- the other health issues are not improving... They keep ramping up.
When I hear back about MRI, I will update.
Take care,
Tuc.

Livinlife, have you read through Tuc’s entire thread(s)? She is being evaluated through charity care channels and she does not have the option to not wait for those processes. She has very few options, other than to wait for the system to grind along. It is not helpful to tell her to demand or insist on anything, especially the length of time between processes
-
No Melissa - thanks for the info... Tuc lost the initial thread so I only picked up where this one started.... Sorry Tuc!

Hi Ladies,
I got a letter today from diagnostic center-- MRI was normal/benign.
However, since there is an area of clinical concern in breast, follow up with physician will be necessary. Please contact physician to discuss these findings.
Mammography is the most commonly used method for early detection but not all cancers are found through mammography. A breast finding of concern should never be ignored despite a normal mammogram. If you notice any new changes bring them to health care provider's attention immediately.
Good news regarding my breast health--- benign-- Yahoo!!
Take care precious people,
Thanks for helping me through all my concerns. Great information and support here!!!

Soooo happy for you Tuc!!!! Thanks for letting us know!

Hi,
Still having spontaneous nipple discharge/one breast. Will ask my primary about taking a sample when I see them in March.
Tuc.
-
Exasperating for you Tuc! Please let us know what your doc says/does whether it's March or you find yourself there before then.... Take good care until then!
-
Tuc, many types of breast discharge are considered perfectly normal. With clear mammogram, ultrasound and MRI I think you need to discuss those parameters with your doctor. The fact you have discharge very likely does not mean there is anything wrong
-
Hi Ms Melissa D and Living life.
I have read that discharge can be hormonal, especially in regard to the pituatary gland. I am all for benign. I just wonder about having this discharge-- only one breast, and seemingly only one duct-- along with skin changes to areola complex-- which keeps changing-- looking more vascular, also more pain-- (bee sting feeling ramped up) and more discomfort underarm and more lumps and vascularity. Also lump under skin/nipple is enlarging. Lump in neck enlarging-- and other body systems-- changing how they work. Cancer can be missed by imaging-- certain ones--- and are only found when there is a fungating wound, brain issues, gastric issues.... I am not saying I have breast cancer, I am saying-- that because I feel so fatigued and unwell and see signs and feel symptoms of poor health--- like ridges in my finger nails--- having constipation and diarrhea 4- 6 times/day. Nausea(not vomiting) and more headaches-- that yes -- all needs to be addressed)explored-- am working on with my primary. So-- once again--- if I don't have breast cancer-- thank GOD. But something is very wrong with my health. I will see primary in March. I will ask about taking sample of discharge-- it's from one breast, spontaneous and appears to be from only one duct--... thanks for being patient. Thanks for all responses . I have been feeling more and more unwell ( I started feeling off in my health in 2006. I have been navigating thru differing charitable organizations all these years. I just keep feeling more and more fatigued and unwell). Answers-- the correct ones will come....yes I am frustrated and I am not getting well. I am getting worse. GOD love and save our health care system-- but I feel like I am not going to benefit from it....
-
Ps-- been having this discharge for at least 5 years...
-
When I had my MRI-- they performed it outside of the machine. I never went into the "tunnel.
-
Hi,
I have moved Alot in the last quarter of a century. I have lived in three different states and many different towns for work in non-profit profit sector. Unfortunately didn't qualify for good health insurance. So this is why I have been navigating charitable organizations for years. No real continuity of care. Records were lost too.
Everytime-- I have to start all over again with health care providers....
Hopeful-- one day--- will get correct diagnosis, get treatment, and get better....
-
Tuc it is also quite possible, with all you describe, that there is another medical issues that's been brewing... I kind of hear you suspecting that as well.... It is exasperating and frustrating when you know something is not right and either aren't feeling heard or taken seriously or getting good care or whatever the case may be. From what you describe if something arises at some point it won't have anything to do with breast cancer most likely. It took me years to get a rare and serious autoimmune issue diagnosed along with other problematic health issues. My providers were generally respectful outwardly though I know they thought I was wrong about anything being wrong. Fast forward several years and I have a long list of serious medical issues, mostly related to two autoimmune conditions one of them being rare and I'm on a lot of medications. I see these stories all over my medical forums for autoimmune diseases. I'm certainly not saying you have an autoimmune issue - please don't read that into what I'm typing. I just want you to hang in there and continue communicating with your providers when you are in front of them. Eventually you may find that one who hears you differently, thinks about one of your symptoms differently, is able to put symptoms together like a puzzle, etc.
My journey started when I saw a specialist at a time I had very little medically going on.... for some reason she decided to run specialized blood tests that had really nothing to do with why I was there. She just believed me that something wasn't right and I guess decided to go that extra mile.... many providers won't or can't do things like this. It still took me years to get diagnosed though I look back and had she not run that blood work where one of the values (ANA) came back elevated I may not have gotten anyone's attention ever. She was not someone I saw more than that one time. No-one else gave any credence to that piece of blood work and I had not idea what it meant so I dismissed it too. It was a few years later when I mentioned this one piece of blood work came back elevated, a doc re-ran that and it was still high, then wasn't, then was again a handful of years later along with more medical symptoms and issues make the case even more and here I am.... and none of it was that simple.... and these kinds of things are emotional roller coasters of sorts for many if not most.... hang in there!
