FAT GRAFTING TO LUMPECTOMY SIDE
had a consult and still dr saying no implant due to rads and its been almost ten years out. Very unhappy. I was so wrongly over aggressively treated for a tiny dcis!!! They gave me no options or time to research anything to decide what i wanted.
Dr did say he could do 3 rounds of fat grafting though which he never suggested 5yrs ago. Im soooo lump boob deflated there is no mid/upper breast tissue at all. I asked about grafting to good breast to get some upper pole to fluff it up a bit but he him hawed on it and said wait and see but he could do reduction on it to match the lumo grafted boob....but i definitely do not want smaller than my 40A i have now. Sheesh...He did say grafting can leave lumps and bumps of fat that can resemble cancer masses so i might find i have to undergo biopsies or other things to confirm its not cancer because it can appear to be on mammos,? Im ER/PR positive but he said there is NO evidence that grafting can cause cancer growth but there no 100% guarantee it wont.
Can others please share pics no faces or your fat grafting after lumpectomy and rads? You can pm them to me. I wont share to anyone anywhere. Womsns honor

Also how much fat can be grafted each time? My lower breast is the only tissue i seem to have left. Can the fat graft really fill in enough like an implant would?

blue willow - the site really doesn't like pictures of breasts.
My suggestion would be to get a second opinion by a plastic surgeon at an entirely different center. YOu'd be amazed the differences between docs. I've read that fat grafting along with TEs "changes" the rads damage so implants are then possible.

oh i thought if someone shared a photo privately it wouldnt appear on the main site. Ok.

Get a second opinion. The doc doesn’t sound confident in his skills.

ive never heard of TEs after rads before. To me undergoing another extra general anesthesia surgery and the pain and discomfort ive heard from TEs, idk if im up for that. Its why im interested in the nonsurgical BRAVA OR EVE breast system before grafting. I dont need to have more than a full cup size addition to what i have in my good lefty and get rty bad boob up to par for symmetry. I figure that at my age i wont be flaunting them anymore so need to have them large....lol
