Lump Qualities

I am a 6 year breast cancer survivor. The other day I found a small hard lump on the breast that I had the lumpectomy on. It's very small but hard. But it's redish...I can actually see it if I look into a mirror closely. I don't think breast lumps are normally different colours? I figure I will wait until my yearly oncologist appointment to show her; as I don't think this is anything to worry about. Just wondering if anyone has heard of breast lump being a different colour than the skin.

HI Jaysfan! I certainly wouldn't say it is cancer at this point though it does sound like something you should get checked out. Given your history of breast cancer it seems a good idea to call one of your docs sooner than later. When is your annual oncologist appointment? I'd encourage you to at least message her, if not call, to report what your noticing....

Just over a month. That's probably okay. But if it CHANGES, see if you can get in right away. Okay? And let them know ahead of time that you have this, so if they want to schedule more time for you or any scans, they can do that.

Yes, plus I figure with COVID, it would take just as long, or maybe longer to get it checked out going through family Dr.

I agree with Mountainmia. I'd also say some docs are actually less busy with COVID or at times anyways... so always worth at least a call...
