Waiting to see GP

So a little back story,

I don't have much information on my family back ground. I am aware of 1 aunt who had BC and my 27 year old half sister was just diagnosed with stage 2a BC in September with a double mastectomy in October. I am 31.

On Nov 7 I was getting ready for bed and took off my bra to lay down, I did a little awwww relief rub and discovered a lumo in the upper outer quadrant of my right breast. It moves, which is good, but it has been 6 weeks and is still there. I have also noticed a flattened area on my on my outer lower part of the breast, and thickening of my tissue near or on a lobule between the 2 spots.Nothing can be palpated to match in my left breast. I am thin 115 lbs. & have 32a cup so changss stick out like a sore thumb.

I've had 2 children and breastfeed both so I have what I call mom boobs, but since these changes my right breast is perking again, not low hanging.

I have to call my GP tomorrow for a breast exam and she most definitely imaging.

I am scared and confused.

Of note:

The lump is located right where my sentinel nodes would be and the lump moves into my armpit when arms are raised. Could this indicated attachment to tissue?

Certain lumps are very common at different ages, so it would be helpful to know your age.

Okay, at 31 the lump could be a fibroadenoma - these are the most common lumps in younger women (teens and 20s, mostly), or it could be a cyst - these can develop at any age but are most common in women aged 30 - 50. Both of these types of lumps are benign and harmless, and while both might eventually shrink on their own (cysts more so than fibroadenomas, I think), it can take months or years. So the fact that the lump is still there after 6 weeks doesn't mean it's not something benign.

Not sure about your comment that the lump is where your sentinel nodes would be - sentinel nodes can not be identified by feel or even sight (when a surgeon operates) but usually are packed in with all the other axillary nodes in the underarm. Some women do have lymph nodes in their breast too. Is the lump more in your armpit than in the breast? In that case, it could just be a reactive node or an area of inflammation/infection.

It's good that you are getting this checked out - any new lump should be checked out - but there a many possibilities, most of them being harmless.

The lump is located in the outer breast tissue up by the armpit (by, but not in the tail of spence), I do have reactive nodes (several in my neck) that I have had since I was kid (bad throat infection) but one of those became of concern a few years ago and I had to go through the ringer for possible Hodgkins or Non hodkins. Everything was fine (the tech measured in the wrong form) but with my sisters recent diagnosis, and the heaviness/fullness and leaking feeling from nipple I am just at odds! We have a load of different type of cancers in my family, and my health anxiety is totally out of control so that does not help (always feeling to see if it went away).

They are visibly different. I have a perky right breast (now) and then my deflated left breast.
