Time Sensitive- Focus Group-Immunotherapy
Sharing this upcoming study from my Gilda's Club newsletter-
The Cancer Support Community is conducting Focus Groups around immunotherapy and looking for participants in this 4-hour group. You must qualify based on the following criteria:
- Currently receiving immunotherapy
- Have been receiving immunotherapy between 12 - 24 months
- On one of these immunotherapy drugs: Opdivo (Nivolumab), Keytruda (Pembrolizumab), Tecentriq (Atezolizumab), Bavencio (Avelumab), Imfinzi (Durvalumab), Libtayo (Cemiplimab)
The focus group will be held virtually on November 20 and will last 4 hours. Participants will be compensated $300 for their time. If you are interested, please reach out to Alyssa Jaisle at ajaisle@cancersupportcommunity.org.

I cannot participate in this focus group bc I'm not on immunotherapy yet.
However, if you find out that they are publishing anything about this, or posting anything about this focus group, could you please let us all know? It would be very useful information.

The Cancer Support Community is hosting a virtual Precision Medicine Summit to discuss important topics in precision medicine, including biomarker testing and genetic testing for inherited cancer risk, as well as policy and access challenges and considerations.
The Summit will feature a keynote presentation from Jennifer Klemp, PhD, MPH, MA to provide an overview of precision medicine, followed by an advocacy panel to discuss how to talk to patients about precision medicine and to share advocacy initiatives related to precision medicine.

That link works. I plan to register, although I've already had two tissue biopsies, one circulating DNA blood test, and one liquid biopsy. I think I'm living precision medicine! I also follow webinars on the Cancer Research Institute, which is a great site for those interested in immunotherapy.
