Pain after diagnostic mammogram

I hope I'm on the right forum for this question. This is my first post.

I was surprised to learn that my screening mammogram three weeks ago showed a slight architectural distortion. I went for my diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound yesterday. The result was: Questionable architectural distortion at the left upper central breast, without corresponding sonographic abnormality identified, possibly representing overlapping glandular tissue. Probably benign. Recommend 6 month follow up to evaluate for stability.

I didn't have any pain prior to the mammogram, but now I have a significant ache in the area of my breast where they concentrated the mammogram. It doesn't hurt to touch it unless I press hard. Is pain after a diagnostic mammogram something I should have expected? If I still have pain on Monday, I'll call my doctor. I guess I'm just curious about others' experiences.
