Anybody hear about this? AI is making me feel crippled. I've been on anastrozole for two years. Some days I can barely walk, the pain in my legs is so bad.

noting this study has only been done in mice, I certainly hope that this model continues to be researched because the side-effects of AIs can truly destroy quality of life.

I am triple negative so don't have to take any hormone blockers, but I am still very interested and will discuss this with my team at the University. I can definitely see how this could be true.

Wow, thanks for posting this! It would be great if science found a better solution than simply depriving us of our hormones. I hope this research can continue.

Interesting concept but unfortunately I wouldn't put much hope in a mouse study from 2014. Mouse studies are where most research starts, and key advancements develop from there, but the vast majority of mouse studies end up not yielding positive results once they move to the next step.

Since this came out in 2014, I looked to find more recent studies that reference this study; I wondered if there was any follow-up research. Perhaps there is, but none of the studies I found that included a reference to this study followed up on same premise. I also checked the clinical trials database and found a couple of interesting, somewhat related studies:

I’m not the researcher that beesie is but I too would not put much weight on a mouse study from six years ago

The great cancer/hormone puzzle. It's like someone has given us a safe with an 6 digit combination of unique numbers, told us all of the digits in the combination and we have to determine the order. Doable but who's doing it?
