Gemzar/Carboplatin any advise

I am only a year in and have had two treatments fail, Ibrance/

Falsodex and then Xeloda. I am ER+ Her2- with Mets to plueral area and now some subcutaneous nodules from last CT scan on Tuesday. I had stage 2a 13 years ago. I really thought I would get some mileage from the CDK4 inhibitor and endocrine therapy’s but I had taken and AI and Evista for over 10years from my original DX, so I guess the cancer got around it. Xeloda didn’t work for me only on it for 2 months. So now I start the Gemzar/Carboplatin combo on the 19th of Nov. I have to get a port. Anyone out there ever on this combo and where you ever able to go back to other treatments beside Chemo?

    Hi! My mum has been on this combo during 14 months with and awesome response maybe the best working. My mum was diagnosed with stage I 11/2008 and stage iv 10/2014. Gemzar and carboplatin has been her 9 or 10th line of treatment.

    I think Ibrance and exemestane only worked for lung and bone mets but not for the other mets so she was only 3 months on it.
