Hi , I’m a newbie .
I’ve just had an op ( lumpectomy and all lymph nodes removed in my left arm) I’m having trouble with lymphedema and heard there are brushes I can use to help this. I would like to try one ( dry and in the shower ) but when I looked online there seemed to be so many and I’m just not sure which one would be best . I also have a lot of nerve pain , so I’m trying to alleviate this too. Can anyone recommend a brush please ? many thanks .

Hi Jennifer7, Are you recovering from recent surgery? If so I wouldn't do anything until you get the ok from your surgeon. A lot of the swelling will decrease. I took gabapentin 100mg for the nerve pain and it helped. Also ice gel pack on 20mins off 20mins.

I agree with Flashlight. You need to discuss this with your surgeon as soon as possible. Many docs don't understand or validate LE, but you should get a referral to see a certified & trained LEPT as soon as possible. Before you do that and get professionally measured, I would be hesitant to start trying things that you've "heard about". Here is a link that might help you understand more and will have references for trained LE personnel in your area.
