i am currently a little worried as a bruise has been developing on my left breast. I have asked Dr Google and it has mention Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Is this something anyone else has experienced? Thank you in advance. Love to you all xxx

I have not experienced that. Just want to say welcome and send support! Hopefully others will chime in before long.... Have you spoken with one of your doctors about this yet?

Hi Sarah-Kaye. I'm sorry for your worries. None of us can diagnose you and you really need to call your doctor for an appointment to address it.

Here is a link from this organization (more reliable than Dr Google!) with symptoms of IBC. It does list bruising, but to me it looks like the most characteristic symptom is redness.

Talk to your doctor. Let us know what you find out. Good luck.

The Moderators will move your post to the "Not Diagnosed but Worried" forum because you posted in a forum that is exclusively for Moderator posts, no member posts allowed.

Concerns about IBC are extremely common. Diagnoses of IBC are quite rare. If you look at the link that MountainMia provided, there is a list of 8 symptoms of IBC. Do you have any of the other symptoms? If not, then it's highly unlikely that you have IBC.

How long have you had the bruise? Did you bump up against your breast, something that might cause a bruise? Is it developing like a normal bruise would?

And how old are you? Many of the people who come here with concerns about IBC are very young, and the likelihood of IBC in someone young is extremely rare.

I'll differ from the previous advice and suggest that before talking to a doctor, you should give this the normal amount of time to see if it is a bruise and it resolves on it's own. If it was a bruise on your arm, you wouldn't be concerned and you would let it clear up without seeing a doctor. Of course with this being on your breast, there could be more serious implications (although very unlikely), but before jump to that conclusion and head off to see a doctor, you should give it time to see if it really is just a bruise.
