Livinlife & Beesie - I don’t know what I’d do without you both. Thank you so much. I’m going to keep both of your suggestions and thoughts with me this week and will be very glad when this is done. I’ll let you know when it’s over

I had my lumpectomy yesterday. The doctor said she was very pleased. We will know more when pathology comes back about the cancer and any next steps to be taken but so far so good! The surgery was actually a pleasant experience (for surgery that is)! Thank you all so much for encouraging me. I’ll keep you updated when the results come in

jka... Thanks so much for checking back in! I'm so glad things went well yesterday. I hope the final path comes back as good! Hopefully you don't have to wait too long. I know you'll let us know.... : )

So glad to hear that the surgery went well. Now lets hope for no surprises (except good ones!) on the pathology results!

My pathology came back the same DCIS ER+ and I had no microinvasion. The area much larger than anticipated but they got it all with clear margins

I will begin radiation (left side) in the next few weeks after I heal from surgery and will see oncology for the oral meds I’ll be taking. I am beyond grateful for God and his never ending love for us and also for u all who have helped me get to this point. You’ll all be in my heart and prayers forever -

Bessie & LivinLife extra blessings to you both

Yay!! for clear margins! And for finding no invasive cancer!

Hope rads goes well for you! Since I had a MX I didn't need to have rads, so I can't offer any advice. But check out the Radiation Forum on this board... I'm sure there are lots of suggestions to help you get through it with minimal skin damage.

Weird I was just thinking about you.... Sooooo glad for the best possible outcome (other than Whaaattt? we found nothing....)! Rads and the medication will help cut future risks quite a bit for you. I hope those go well for you! I know nothing about rads either other than what I've heard and read others sharing.... Wishing you nothing except the best as you proceed....!
