High ALP (blood test) & Assymetries in left breast?

So about a year ago I was on here, had to have a biopsy after my first mammogram/ultrasound resulted in the biopsy of a nodule in my right breast (benign). It also noted assymetries in my left breast that should be monitored. Thanks to Covid I missed my 6 month follow up, and my doctors have left the practice. The whole situation last time was a fiasco...received 3 different results in a 24 hr period before finally getting the actual copy to see it was benign. Needless to say NOT going back there!!!

Fast forward to now a year later- my new GP AND my new gynecologist reviewed the last reports and mammo/us and both were surprised the assymetries were not biopsied. The GP also said the notes and reports were terrible and didn't really make sense. Thanks to bloodwork coming back with high ALP my gyno recomended a new diagnostic mammo and US stat. I go in tomorrow for that. Has me a bit nervous.

Just on here to vent a bit I guess. Hoping their concern is just their being overly cautious. All other standard annual bloodwork was normal. But had a feeling after the terrible handling of everything last year that I should have gotten a second opinion right away. Glad I'm with a good reputable group this time around (NYU Langone).

I don’t know why the elevated ALP would prompt a mammogram, when it is much more likely to be from liver or gallbladder issues.

Did you ever have the radial scar excised?

I do not what your numbers are but AP can be a variety of issues. It can have to do with kidneys as well as gallbladder and liver function. Not just cancer indicator. Since it was a GYN you saw she probably automatically wanted to check that as well to be safe. You may want to make sure your two docs are both in communication with each other either way. A good medical team is always important always.

    Best wishes to you.
