Dialetical behavioral therapy for anxiety Question

Have you tried DBT for anxiety and had good results? I have anxiety around fear. (4 years) They say you do opposite action to the max which mean you do what you fear and while you do you actually accept it or enjoy it or something like that to enjoy your activity and you will change your emotions so not to be so fearful. I keep asking teachers to explain but can not understand them.

Has anyone conqured the fear and can explain step by step how to do it? This dbt class i am taking is not specifically geared for breast cancer. Please let me know how to do it, i so sick of anxiety, if i had a gun i would shoot it!
