Mastectomy vs lumpectomy

I have a strong family history. They have never found a gene with a familial link. I always get. Mutation with unknown significance.

Therefore, I am leaning more towards having a bilateral mastectomy rather than a lumpectomy. My #1 reason being that I do not want to be subjected to any more MRI’s and more biopsies.

Has anyone here found my assumption to be true

Family history was a factor in my decision to get a BMX but there were other metrics that influenced my decision as well. At the end of the day, do what you feel is best for you.
