Liver Mets-my mom

Hi ladies,

My mom just got her scan results back and her TNBC is back in her liver and some lymph nodes. We are all devastated and shocked and trying to process this as a family. I talked to her MO and he is scheduling her for biopsy and then will decide what to do next. He might put her on Xeloda in the meantime. Can you, ladies share your experiences with liver Mets? I feel numb and not sure how to go from here.

There is a great liver met thread out there I recommend posting to but more importantly reading up on. There is also a TNBC Stage 4 thread where you can find useful information. I have liver mets TNBC and have found it the most difficult to control. But check out the other threads, everyone is different. I am on a fantastic treatment now newly approved that took me out of liver failure immediately - Trodelvy. It was just approved and does amazing things for our cancer as it’s the first targeted. However to get it now, you have to fail 2 treatments. They are working on trials for first line treatment which I think is best since it’s specifically targeted to TNBC and it’s so effective. I call it a miracle drug after I failed 2 within 3 months, one being Xeloda. But some have great success with xeloda.
