edited September 2020 in Not Diagnosed But Worried

29 y/o one month postpartum

Noticed a lump in my upper outer left breast postpartum (not breastfeeding or pumping). Originally was told it was milk duct then galactocele. Ultrasound conducted today and biopsy scheduled for next week

Can't help but to think worst case scenario after having first child

any thoughts on the pathology reports? I need some hope!

“Left breast ultrasound dated September 17, 2020. No prior studies are available. HISTORY: Palpable abnormality.

FINDINGS: In the left breast at 12:30 8 cm from the nipple there is an oval area of slightly heterogeneous but predominately decreased echotexture. It is smoothly marginated with good through transmission. It has some internal flow.

IMPRESSION:

Palpable abnormality in the left breast corresponds with a low-density lesion it is not a cyst. Tissue sampling is recommended.

These results were discussed with the patient and her biopsy was scheduled before she left the department. Examination 76642.

BI-RADS 4 suspicious. Biopsy is recommended.”
