mri v ultrasound?

Options

hi -- i had dcis, grade 3, 3 lumpectomies to clear margins in 2013, followed by 5 yrs. tamoxifen. in 2019, i was diagnosed again w/dcis, this time had double mastectomy w/ recon. i had followup mri in may, (mast. was in previous aug), the mri showed a lymph node w/no fatty hilum, so recommended ultrasound follow up --- two radiologists did the ultrasound followup/s, both said lymph node appeared fine. my question is, should this be biopsied anyway, given the appearance on the mri? please help! thank you ----

I hope someone with experience posts.

My experience, such as it is, is to get a biopsy if it is offered and there is an unknown. My ultrasound did not detect my lobular cancer; the MRI did. But again, this isn't the same thing. Can you get a second opinion for your options?

    Best to you.
