Just Diagnosed officially on 14SEP20
Hello, there I have already read some amazing stories and you ladies rock! I hope that my story turns out to have a happy ending. I am a 48 year old that is not in the best of shape. To start my story, I need to go back in July of 2017, when I was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma. I had complete nephrectomy of my left kidney and the tumor was encapsulated. There was no need for any type of treatment for me. Fast forward to my yearly mammogram, which always has to be at a diagnostic center, due to cyst in both breast. Long story short, they found four tumors in my right breast. Met with the surgeon yesterday and I have IDC, stage 2A & grade3. I have opted for a bilateral mastectomy, afterwards reconstructive surgery. And the surgery will not happen for 3/4 weeks. Since I have found out I am not sleeping and crying all the time, which I am not a crier. I guess what I need more than anything is prayers.

Hey, another kidney cancer chick! I had my nephrectomy sandwiched between lumpectomy and radiation in 2018. Welcome to the Crap Magnet Freak Show! You got past kidney cancer which means you should be LESS nervous since you know it's beatable.

I was completely where you are when I was diagnosed on 8/17/20. I am feeling much better. Meeting with my plastic surgeon on 9/17 to discuss reconstruction, and he and my breast surgeon will be coordinating surgery very soon. This has been very overwhelming, but my dear friends and prayer warriors have been getting me through! Absolutely will pray for you! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
