Nipple reconstruction

Hey all, I'm looking for input regarding nipple reconstruction. BS was unable to spare mine.
I have expanders in, and had my first fill. So I'm assuming that I would need to do this with the exchange surgery. Anyone have pros/cons? My PS mentioned that he could do it, but at the time I was so muddled with cancer and chemo we didn't discuss it further.
I'm considering nipples with tattooing the areola, nipples with no color, no nipples, or maybe pretty tattoos to cover the scars. Thoughts?
